What's the difference between forestry mulching and brush hogging?
Brush hogging is a rotary mower for grass, weeds, and light brush — fast and cheap on open ground, but not for woody growth. Forestry mulching uses a drum-style cutter that grinds standing brush, saplings, and small trees in place. We use mulching anywhere there are real woody stems.
How much does land clearing cost per acre?
It depends heavily on density, slope, and access. Light brush hogging can run $200–$400/acre. Forestry mulching is typically $1,800–$3,500/acre. Heavy land clearing with stump and root removal runs higher. Use our instant pricing tool for a ballpark on your specific job.
Do you haul off the debris?
Default is no — we mulch material in place, which leaves a natural ground cover and skips disposal fees. If you need it gone, we can pile and haul for an add-on fee.
What size jobs do you take?
Anything from a quarter-acre yard cleanup to multi-day jobs on 20+ acres. We have a per-job minimum to cover mobilization on small drives.
Are you insured?
Yes — fully insured for general liability and equipment. We can provide a certificate of insurance on request.
How far do you travel?
We're based in Mountain Grove, MO and primarily serve a roughly 60-mile radius — Wright, Texas, Douglas, Howell, Webster, and surrounding counties. We'll go further for the right project; mobilization is quoted accordingly.
Do you work in winter?
Yes — winter is actually one of our best windows. Brush is down, snakes are dormant, and frozen ground means cleaner work with less rutting.
How soon can you start?
Most jobs schedule within 1–3 weeks of the on-site bid. Storm cleanups and emergencies we try to fit in faster — call us.
Will mulching kill the brush for good?
It knocks it back hard. Most aggressive regrowth (honeysuckle, multiflora rose) needs a follow-up mow or herbicide treatment 6–12 months later to fully reclaim the ground.
Do you do stump grinding only?
Yes — single stumps, fence-line stumps, whole yards. We have per-stump pricing for small jobs and volume rates for 10+.
